Job summary

HCA HealthONE is seeking a Speech Therapist (SLP) to improve patient communication, cognition, and swallowing. You will work within a collaborative rehabilitation team in a well‑resourced setting that values clinical judgment and efficient workflows.

The role requires ASHA CCC‑SLP or CFY initiation with CO licensure, BLS certification, and a Master’s/Doctorate in Speech‑Language Pathology. CFY candidates welcomed; multiple benefits are provided to support professional growth.

Qualifications

• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP) from ASHA or CFY with initiation verification and ASHA account number
• Colorado license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist
• BLS certification from American Heart Association or ARC
• Master’s degree or Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• CFY candidates accepted and CFY must be completed within 15 months of hire
• Ability to conduct evaluations, testing, plan development, and test interpretation; competent in MBSS/FEES preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Evaluate communication, cognitive, and swallowing abilities using structured assessments and clinical observation
• Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans to support communication and safe swallowing
• Document evaluations, daily notes, progress updates, and discharge summaries
• Educate patients and families on goals, safety, home strategies, and expected progress
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing, rehab staff, and care managers for coordinated care and smooth transitions
