Excelsior Care Group invites a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join Charlotte Bay Rehabilitation and Care Center in Port Charlotte, FL as a PRN therapist. Responsibilities include creating personalized therapy plans, instructing residents in communication strategies, and collaborating with rehab staff to optimize outcomes.

The role requires a graduate of an accredited SLP program, ASHA certification, and Florida licensure or eligibility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program.
• ASHA-certified Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in Florida.

Responsibilities

• Assist in acquiring adaptive communication devices and instruct residents in their use.
• Create personalized therapy plans based on each resident’s needs.
• Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to design the best therapeutic regimens.
• Instruct residents in communication techniques and evaluate progress.
• Adjust therapy activities to meet evolving needs.
• Participate in care planning meetings and interdisciplinary discussions.
• Conduct staff training and supervise therapy support personnel.
• Deliver services with compassion while upholding residents’ dignity.

Shift: PRN – Weekdays and/or Weekends as Needed

Pay Rate: $57.00 per hour

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program.
• Certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
