Job summary

Lyonsview Health and Rehab in Knoxville, TN is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to deliver and oversee speech therapy services, ensure CMS-compliant documentation, and contribute to resident care. The role offers full-time or PRN schedules with competitive pay, flexible scheduling, professional development, and a supportive team. Candidates must have a Master's in SLP, CCC, and valid state license; FEES/MBS experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology required.
• CCC/SLP-C required for licensure in state of practice.
• Ongoing continuing education to maintain licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality speech therapy services and initiate referrals as appropriate.
• Evaluate and collect data for treatment planning and implementation.
• Develop and monitor treatment plans with short- and long-term goals.
• Educate patients, families, and staff on speech-language procedures.
• Complete CMS-compliant documentation in NetHealth EMR.
• Oversee FEES/MBS protocols and coordinate site programs.
• Participate in screening to identify resident needs.

Job description

Lyonsview Health and Rehab is hiring for a Speech Therapist SLP to assist in planning, organizing, developing, and directing Speech Language Pathology services in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be direction by Administrator, to assure the highest degree of quality resident care is always maintained.

Status: Full-Time or PRN

Responsibilities

• To provide quality speech therapy services and initiate referrals when appropriate, in accordance with established standards of practice, therapy department procedures and productivity standards.
• To evaluate and obtain data necessary for treatment planning and implementation
• To develop a treatment plan that includes a target list, short-term, and long-term goals
• Instructs patient, family, and staff in appropriate speech-language procedures to allow carry over of therapeutic remediation and goals in daily activities
• To complete compliant and medically necessary documentation from CMS expectations in NetHealth EMR systems
• Oversight and implementation of proper protocols for FEES/MBS with coordination of site programs
• Participants in screening protocols for establishing needs of residents are being met timely and with clinical excellence

Job Education & Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology
• Certificate of Clinical Competency
• MUST have active SLP license in state(s) of practice.
• Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification
