Job summary

Palms Nursing Center is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide comprehensive voice, language, cognition, and swallowing services in a Skilled Nursing Facility. You will assess patients, develop and implement treatment plans, and contribute to program development and performance improvement.

The role involves collaboration with the Director of Rehab and the therapy team, with opportunity to grow within a supportive, dynamic environment and a focus on delivering patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Requires Speech Language Pathology license or completion of education.
• Experience addressing dysphagia, cognition, speech and communication deficits is described in duties.

Responsibilities

• Provide Speech-Language Pathology services including assessment, treatment plan development and implementation.
• Collaborate with Director of Rehab and therapy team on program development and performance improvement.
• Engage in clinical duties within a Skilled Nursing Facility environment and support the therapy team.

Job description

The Speech Pathologist provides Speech Pathology Services to patients referred, including assessment, treatment plan development and implementation. Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) play an important role in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF). SLPs assess and treat patients with a wide variety of deficits, including, but not limited to, dysphagia, cognition, speech and/or communication difficulties. The Speech Pathologist assists with clinical aspects of the department, including program development and Performance Improvement activities. Works closely with the Director of Rehab and the tight knit therapy family!
