Job summary

Deer Park Health & Rehabilitation in North Carolina is seeking a skilled Speech Therapist PRN to join our dynamic therapy team. You will evaluate, diagnose, and treat residents with speech, language, voice, communication, and swallowing disorders in a collaborative, interdisciplinary setting.

Requirements include a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, current state licensure, CPR certification, and CCC-SLP preferred. Prior skilled nursing or long-term care experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
• Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist is required.
• CCC-SLP certification is preferred but not required.
• CPR certification is required (or must obtain upon hire).
• Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat residents with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Provide therapy services including speech, language, voice, fluency, cognitive-communication, and swallowing interventions.
• Monitor and document residents' progress and adjust plans as needed.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on communication strategies and safe swallowing.
