Job summary

Tarboro Health & Rehabilitation in North Carolina is seeking a flexible Speech Therapist to join our team on a per diem/PRN basis. You will perform patient assessments, develop individual treatment plans, and collaborate with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to administer therapy.

You will educate families on speech disorders and therapies, document patient history, monitor progress, and adjust programs as needed.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in speech therapy or speech-language pathology required.
• Current license and certification in good standing.
• Experience with certain disorders and geriatric population beneficial.
• Solid understanding of speech-related disorders and treatments.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills; resourceful and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, screen, and prevent language, speech, and swallowing disorders.
• Communicate with patient and family to design effective treatment plans.
• Apply tested therapies plus innovative techniques to optimize care.
• Educate patients and families on speech disorders and therapies.
• Provide detailed documentation on patient history and progress.
• Evaluate progress and adjust therapy programs as required.

Tarboro Health & Rehabilitation is searching for a flexible, resourceful Speech Therapist to join our team. This is a per diem/PRN position. The Speech Therapist's responsibilities include performing patient assessments, developing individual treatment plans, working with patients, family members, and other healthcare professionals, to administer therapy and monitor progress. The Speech Therapist will ensure patients and families are informed of new treatments and therapy techniques.

Responsibilities include:

• Assessing, diagnosing, screening, and preventing language, speech, and swallowing disorders.
• Communicating with the patient, and liaising with their family members and physicians to design effective treatment plans.
• Using tried and tested therapies in combination with new, innovative techniques to provide the best care.
• Educating patients and their families on speech disorders and available therapies.
• Providing detailed documentation on patient history and progress.
• Evaluating patient progress and implementing changes to therapy programs as required.

Speech Therapist Requirements:

• Master's degree in speech therapy or speech-language pathology.
• Relevant license and certification.
• Experience with certain disorders and the geriatric population is beneficial.
• Sound understanding of speech-related disorders and treatments.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
