Qualifications

Active North Carolina Speech-Language Pathologist license.
CCC-SLP preferred; Clinical Fellows encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Complete comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing function.
Develop individualized therapy plans based on patient needs and findings.
Provide direct treatment to improve communication and swallowing safety.
Train patients in compensatory strategies and assistive communication methods.
Educate families and caregivers on support techniques and care strategies.
Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and therapy disciplines to coordinate care plans.
Participate in discharge planning and transition-of-care discussions.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure regulatory compliance.
Support Medicare and other applicable guidelines.
