Job summary

Mercy - Fort Smith is seeking a part-time Speech Therapist to perform objective assessments and develop individualized treatment programs for assigned patients in accordance with department policies. The role requires strong communication and teamwork to support patient care across ages, with a focus on emergency responsiveness.

Applicants must hold a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, current or provisional SLP licensure, ASHA certification within 1 year of hire, and BLS

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
• Current or provisional SLP license in the applicable state.
• ASHA certification within 1 year of hire; BLS certification.
• Must be able to respond to emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Perform objective assessments as well as comprehensive individualized treatment programs for assigned patients according to departmental policies and procedures regarding referral.

Requirements

• Education: Master's Degree in Speech/Language Pathology.


• Licensure: Current or provisional Speech Language Pathologist license in applicable State of practice.


• Certifications: Certification from American Speech and Hearing Association within 1 year of hire, extension at discretion of leader and clinical fellowship supervisor. BLS certified.


• Other: Must be able to respond to emergency situations.


• Preferred Experience: One year of experience. Experience in caring for patients of all ages preferred.
