Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Speech Therapist for a full-time position based in Fort Smith, Arkansas. The role involves performing objective assessments and developing comprehensive, individualized treatment programs for patients according to departmental policies.

Licensure must be current or provisional in the applicable state, with ASHA certification in place within one year and BLS certification. Emergency response ability is required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech/Language Pathology.
• Current or provisional SLP license in applicable state.
• ASHA certification within 1 year of hire; BLS certified.
• Must be able to respond to emergency situations.
• Preferred: 1 year of experience; experience with patients of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Performs objective assessments as well as comprehensive individualized treatment programs for assigned patients according to departmental policies and procedures regarding referral.
• Collaborates with the care team to implement treatment plans and adjust as needed for individual patient needs.

Requirements

• Education: Master's Degree in Speech/Language Pathology.
• Licensure: Current or provisional Speech Language Pathologist license in applicable State of practice.
• Certifications: Certification from American Speech and Hearing Association within 1 year of hire, extension at discretion of leader and clinical fellowship supervisor. BLS certified. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently.
• Other: Must be able to respond to emergency situations.
• Preferred Experience: One year of experience. Experience in caring for patients of all ages preferred.
