Job summary

St. Mary’s, part of the LHC Group and within the Optum family, is seeking a Speech Therapist for Home Health to assess and treat speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive disorders in patients at home.

You will develop treatment plans, perform interventions, and monitor progress with the care team. The role requires state licensure in speech therapy, a valid driver's license with access to reliable transportation, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Licensed in Speech Therapy in the state of residence.
• Current driver’s license, vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provides services within the scope of practice as defined by state laws.
• Evaluates patient function and assists in plan of care development.
• Treats patients to improve communication, swallowing, and cognitive function.
• Observes and reports patient progress to the care team.
• Instructs patients and caregivers in speech therapy activities.
