Job summary

CareCo is hiring a Speech Therapist for per diem opportunities to provide 1-to-1 in-home patient care in Waterford, Connecticut. Responsibilities include performing home visits, documenting patient information, and consulting with families on therapy procedures. Speech Therapist for per diem opportunities in a home care setting. You will be paid for each completed patient visit (with documentation).

WORK INDEPENDENTLY

1-to-1 IN-HOME PATIENT CARE

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform home visits for patients in a home care setting
• Observe, record, and coordinate care with multi-disciplines regarding the patient's treatment and any change in condition
• Teach, supervise, and counsel the patient and family regarding home therapy procedures and other care needs as appropriate to the patient’s condition

QUALIFICATIONS

• Meets the education and experience requirements for Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in speech pathology or audiology granted by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, or has completed the educational requirements for certification and is in the process of accumulating the supervised experience required for certification.
• Is certified to practice Speech-Language Pathology.
• Is licensed to practice speech pathology in the state of Connecticut.
• Has a minimum of one (1) years’ experience in a health care facility or equivalent experience.
