Qualifications

Licensed in Speech Therapy in the state of residence.
Current CPR certification.
Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.

Responsibilities

Provides services within the scope of practice as defined by state laws governing speech therapy, in coordination with the care team.
Evaluates patient function and assists in developing the therapy plan of care.
Treats patients to improve communication according to patient condition.
Observes, records, and reports patient response and changes to the supervising nurse or physician.
Instructs patient, family, and caregiver in speech therapy areas they can participate.
