Job summary

Angels of Mercy, part of the LHC Group and aligned with Optum, is seeking a Speech Therapist to assess and treat speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive disorders in a home-based care setting in Marion, Indiana. You will develop treatment plans, deliver interventions, and monitor progress with a patient- and family-centered approach.

The role requires state licensure in Speech Therapy, a valid driver's license and reliable transportation; CPR certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed in Speech Therapy in the state of residence.
• Current driver’s license, vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provides services within the scope of practice as defined by state laws governing speech therapy and in coordination with the health care team.
• Evaluates function and assists in developing the therapy plan of care.
• Treats patients to communicate effectively by expressing thoughts according to patient condition.
• Observes and reports patient response to treatment to supervising nurse/physician.
• Instructs patient/family in speech therapy areas for participation.
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition.
