Job summary

Resolute Baptist Hospital seeks a Speech Therapist to administer, interpret, and evaluate tests and measurements for adult patients. The SLP plans and modifies treatment programs with clinical competency and participates in related duties as assigned.

The role requires a Master’s in Speech Language Pathology/Communication Sciences and Disorders, Clinical Fellowship completion, Texas license with CCC from ASHA, and active BLS. Professional growth and patient-centered care are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology/Communication Sciences and Disorders is required.
• Completion of Clinical Fellowship is required.
• Texas State License and ASHA CCC are required for licensed clinicians.
• Active BLS/CPR certification is required upon hire or within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Interprets physician orders and requests interpretation as necessary.
• Administers and interprets tests and measurements of patients.
• Reviews patient chart and progress prior to treatment and modifies the treatment plan accordingly.
• Develops realistic functional goals based on patient/family expectations.
• Involves patient, family, social worker, nursing staff in discharge planning.
• Maintains documentation on all treatments.
• Provides clinical education for SLP students.
• Maintains patient safety and follows department policies.
