Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health Care is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat patients in a rehabilitation setting, developing care plans and documenting progress. You will assist with discharge planning and collaborate with staff to improve patient outcomes.

Required: SLP licensure, ASHA CCC, BLS within 14 days of hire, and at least 3 years of progressive rehabilitation experience since licensure. Basic computer literacy is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum required clinical experience: 3 years of progressive rehabilitation since licensure.
• Licensure requirements include SLP, BLS certification within 14 days of hire, and SLP-CCC.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and assesses patients based on subjective and objective information.
• Develops a written plan of care.
• Provides treatment according to plan of care.
• Documents interventions in the medical record.
• Evaluates effectiveness of the plan and reassesses patient status.
• Provides discharge planning information and referrals to community resources.
• Contributes to staff and student development.
• Participates in activities to improve health care delivery.
• Completes assigned goals.
