Job summary

Northwest Health in Valparaiso, IN is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist/Speech Therapist to evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders across pediatric and adult populations. The role develops individualized treatment plans and collaborates with physicians, caregivers, and an interdisciplinary team to optimize outcomes.

This PRN position requires a Master's in Speech-Language Pathology, a state SLP license (or CFY/CCC eligibility), and

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program required.
• 1–3 years of clinical experience preferred.
• Experience with Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) studies and dysphagia management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and treats speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Develops individualized treatment plans to optimize patient outcomes.
• Collaborates with physicians, caregivers, and team members for comprehensive care.
• Performs MBS evaluations and communicates results to radiology and care teams.
• Documents interventions, progress, and outcomes in the medical record daily.
• Ensures proper coding and maintenance of charge logs for billing/compliance.
• Engages in discharge planning and provides follow-up recommendations.
