Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to perform objective assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for patients according to departmental policies. The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology and an active state license.

Certification from ASHA within 1 year of hire is required, with BLS certification and the ability to respond to emergencies. Preferred experience includes working with patients of all ages.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech/Language Pathology required.
• Current or provisional SLP license in applicable state.
• ASHA CCC/ Certification within 1 year of hire.
• BLS certification required.
• Must be able to respond to emergency situations.
• Preferred: 1 year of experience; experience with patients of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Conduct objective assessments and develop comprehensive individualized treatment programs for assigned patients.
• Follow departmental policies and procedures regarding referrals.
• Respond to emergency situations as needed.

Position Details

Education: Master's Degree in Speech/Language Pathology.

Licensure: Current or provisional Speech Language Pathologist license in applicable State of practice.

Experience: Certifications: Certification from American Speech and Hearing Association within 1 year of hire, extension at discretion of leader and clinical fellowship supervisor.

BLS certified.

Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently.

Other: Must be able to respond to emergency situations.

Preferred Experience: One year of experience. Experience in caring for patients of all ages preferred.
