A leading healthcare organization is seeking a qualified Speech Language Pathologist to oversee patient evaluations and develop treatment programs. This role requires a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology and state licensure. Candidates must demonstrate competency in swallowing evaluations and possess strong communication skills, including Spanish if applicable.
Summary
Responsible for the administration, interpretation and evaluation of tests and measurements. Plans and modifies treatment programs.Works with neonatal through geriatric patients with clinical competency, as applicable. Completes established competencies for theposition within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
Education:
MINIMUM EDUCATION: Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology/Communication Sciences and Disorders
Experience:
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:. Completion of Clinical Fellowship. After completion of 3 full years/beginning of 4th
year may be eligible for Speech Language Pathologist Level II.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Competency in performing Modified Barium Swallow Exams. Competency in
Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES). Spanish Proficiency
Certifications:
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: NEW GRADUATES: Possession of Intern License from the state
of Texas prior to orientation. ALL OTHERS: Possession of Texas State License and Certificate of Clinical
Competence (CCC) from American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA)
Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life
Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of
hire.
