Job summary

Marlborough Hills Rehabilitation & Health Care Center is seeking per diem Speech Therapists to join our team in Massachusetts. Weekly pay up to $60 an hour, with opportunities to assess, plan and treat a general rehab caseload within a collaborative clinical team.

The role requires a BS or MS in Speech Therapy and a MA license; prior SKNH experience is preferred. Responsibilities include screens, evaluations, care planning, treatment under physician orders, documentation, and staff training.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Speech Therapy required.
• Must possess MA licensure for speech therapy.
• Prior experience in skilled nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Screens patients/residents.
• Evaluates patients/residents and develops care plans.
• May perform administrative duties such as overseeing resident care activities and medical record oversight.
• Under physician orders, provides direct resident treatments per established care plan (individual, supervised, and group).
• Contributes to team meetings and decision-making.
• Trains patients/residents and caregivers.
• Monitors efficiencies with supervisor.
• Documents activities in the clinical documentation system.
• Demonstrates knowledge of Medicare and reimbursement regulations.

Job description

Marlborough Hills Rehabilitation & Health Care Center is hiring per diem Speech Therapists to join our team!

Weekly pay up to $60 an hour.

As a Speech Therapist, you provide patient/resident assessment, care planning, direct treatment and consultation to a general rehab caseload; participate in the clinical team process; provide teaching and training to caregiver staff; and supervise other assistants, aides and students as required.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor of Science or Master of Science Degree in Speech Therapy required.

• Must possess a speech therapist license in Massachusetts.

• Prior experience in skilled nursing preferred.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Screens patients/residents.

• Evaluates patients/residents and develops appropriate care plans.

• May perform additional assigned administrative duties such as: assigning and overseeing resident care activities, medical record oversight, assuring execution of physician orders, ordering supplies, etc.

• Under a physician’s order, provides direct resident treatments in accordance with an established plan of care. Treatment venue includes individual, supervised and group.

• Contributes to the team meeting and decision-making process as defined by the program.

• Consults with and trains patients/residents and caregivers.

• Monitors efficiencies on an ongoing basis in collaboration with supervisor.

• Documents activities according to the company’s clinical documentation system on a timely basis.

• Demonstrates consistent knowledge and application of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations.
