Job summary

Southbridge Rehabilitation & Health Care Center is seeking a Per diem Speech Therapist to assess, plan, and provide treatment for a general rehab caseload. You will participate in the clinical team, train caregivers, and supervise staff as required.

The role requires a BS or MS in Speech Therapy, current licensure, and preferred 2 years of long-term care experience; CEUs per licensure rules apply. Competitive pay and weekly payroll offered.

• Current state licensure in the applicable state.
• Two years of clinical experience in long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients/residents
• Evaluate patients/residents and develop care plans
• Provide direct resident treatments per care plan
• Contribute to team meetings and decision-making
• Consult with and train patients, residents and caregivers
• Monitor efficiencies with supervisor
• Document activities per clinical documentation system
• Demonstrate knowledge of Medicare and reimbursement regulations
• Communicate effectively with patients, residents, team members and supervisor
• Participate in clinical program development and staff training

Southbridge Rehabilitation & Health Care Center -

Per Diem Speech Therapist up to $60 an hour with weekly pay!

Southbridge Rehabilitation & Health Care Center! You will provide patient/resident assessments, care planning, direct treatment, and consultation to a general rehab caseload. You will also participate in the clinical team process, provide teaching and training to caregiver staff, and supervise assistants, aides, and students as required.

Responsibilities

• Screens patients/residents

• Evaluates patients/residents and develops appropriate care plans

• Provides direct resident treatments in accordance with an established plan of care

• Contributes to the team meeting and decision-making process

• Consults with and trains patients/residents and caregivers

• Monitors efficiencies on an ongoing basis in collaboration with supervisor

• Documents activities according to the company's clinical documentation system on a timely basis

• Demonstrates consistent knowledge and application of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations

• Communicates effectively with patients, residents, team members, customers, and supervisor

• Participates in clinical program development and implementation

• Participates in the training and orientation of other staff

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science or Master of Science Degree in Speech Therapy

• Current licensure by the applicable state agency

• Two (2) years of clinical experience in long-term care preferred

• CEU's per state licensure requirements

Physical Demands

• Standing and walking for significant amounts of time is necessary

• Excellent hearing and verbal skills required for directing staff, customer relations, and marketing activities

• Manual dexterity required for documentation needs, manipulations of equipment, and for direct patient care

• Requires intense attention and concentration

• Ability to cope with periodic stress associated with changing census and staffing demands
