Job summary

Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale, GA seeks a Speech Pathology Therapist to join the Department of Rehab on a PRN basis. This role includes 8-hour day shifts with a focus on evaluation, treatment planning, and therapy delivery for patients with speech, language, cognition, and swallowing disorders, under physician orders.

Candidates must hold a master’s degree in SLP, an active license, CCC-SLP or SLP-CFs, and at least one year of hospital experience; current BLS certification is

• CCC-SLP or SLP-CFs to be considered with proper supervision where applicable.
• At least one year of hospital experience is required.
• Current BLS certification for healthcare providers is required.

We are seeking a Speech Pathology Therapist for our Department of Rehab at Southern Regional Medical Center.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

• Responsible for the evaluation, treatment planning and implementation of treatment for patients demonstrating disorders of speech, language, cognition, swallowing and other services prescribed by a physician.
• Assists in developing and implementing new and ongoing programs beneficial for the enhancement of the department.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

• Graduate of an accredited college or university with a master’s degree in speech-language pathology required.
• Active license to practice speech language pathology in the state of anticipated employment, free of disciplinary action required.
• Active Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), free of disciplinary action – OR - Speech Language Pathology Clinical Fellow (SLP-CFs) to be considered on a case-by-case basis (provided proper supervision can be afforded to the CF) required.
• At least one year of experience in a hospital setting.
• Current BLS for healthcare provider’s certification upon hire and maintain current.
