Job summary

Sweetwater Care in Chowchilla, CA, seeks a Speech Pathologist to provide comprehensive speech pathology services in a Skilled Nursing Facility. You will assess patients, plan and implement treatments for dysphagia and communication disorders, and support performance improvement alongside the therapy team.

The ideal candidate brings licensure or current completion in Speech-Language Pathology and a willingness to grow within a dedicated rehab team.

Qualifications

• Speech-Language Pathology licensure or completion of related education is required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop/implement treatment plans for dysphagia, cognition, and communication deficits.
• Collaborate with Director of Rehab and therapy team within SNF.
• Contribute to program development and performance improvement activities.

Job description

The Speech Pathologist provides Speech Pathology Services to patients referred, including assessment, treatment plan development and implementation. Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) play an important role in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF). SLPs assess and treat patients with a wide variety of deficits, including, but not limited to, dysphagia, cognition, speech and/or communication difficulties. The Speech Pathologist assists with clinical aspects of the department, including program development and Performance Improvement activities. Works closely with the Director of Rehab and the tight knit therapy family!
