Job summary

Prime Healthcare Services is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for Olympia Fields Hospital in Olympia Fields, IL. This per diem, day-shift position offers evaluation, treatment planning, and program development to support patients with speech, language, cognition, and swallowing disorders.

The role requires a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, an active Illinois license, CCC-SLP (or CFY), and at least one year in a hospital setting. BLS certification is required upon hire.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Active license to practice in Illinois.
• CCC-SLP from ASHA, or SLP-CFs with supervision.
• At least 1 year of hospital experience.
• Current BLS for healthcare providers.

Overview

Department: OFIL Speech PathologyShift: Per Diem; DaysFacility: Olympia Fields Hospital Location: 20201 South Crawford Ave, Olympia Fields, IL 60461Compensation Rate: $47.08

Responsibilities

Responsible for the evaluation, treatment planning and implementation of treatment for patients demonstrating disorders of speech, language, cognition, swallowing and other services prescribed by a physician. Assists in developing and implementing new and ongoing programs beneficial for the enhancement of the department.

Qualifications

• 1. Graduate of an accredited college or university with a master’s degree in speech-language pathology required.
• 2. Active license to practice speech language pathology in the state of anticipated employment, free of disciplinary action required.
• 3. Active Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), free of disciplinary action – OR - Speech Language Pathology Clinical Fellow (SLP-CFs) to be considered on a case-by-case basis (provided proper supervision can be afforded to the CF) required.
• 4. At least one year of experience in a hospital setting.
• 5. Current BLS for healthcare provider’s certification upon hire and maintain current.

Pay Transparency

Olympia Fields Hospital offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $47.08. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
