Job description

Speech Therapy Plus LLC is looking for energetic and motivated speech therapists to join our dynamic team in Bergen County, NJ. Offices are located in Fair Lawn, Ramsey, and Paramus.

We are a growing private practice offering evaluation and treatment to toddlers, school-aged children, and adolescents. The SLP will be expected to provide skilled intervention and parent training while allowing for creativity and flexibility within the sessions. Speech Therapy Plus LLC focuses on building relationships with families to help children succeed across different environments.

Pediatric experience is required.

This is a Full-time position. Candidate must be available weekdays late afternoons/evenings.

We also have Part-Time opportunities with a minimum of 5 hours per week (typically late afternoon/evening hours).

Responsibilities:

1. Diagnose and treat clients with a variety of communication disorders.
2. Develop treatment plans, determining long and short-term goals, and methods to achieve success for clients.
3. Complete daily treatment notes and maintain records (e.g., progress reports, plan of care, etc.).
4. Collaborate with a variety of groups and/or individuals (e.g., parents, teachers, physicians, administration, other professionals, etc.) for the purpose of communicating information, resolving issues, and providing services in compliance with established guidelines.
5. Monitor and maintain re-assessments of client services as deemed necessary by the facility and/or client’s insurance carrier.
6. Complete client and parental/caregiver education as well as provide home exercise programs when appropriate.
7. Maintain a friendly and supportive rapport with clients, parents/caregivers, and facility co-workers.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Valid state license or certification in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of current research and best practices in speech-language pathology.
