Job summary

PDSSOFT INC. in San Diego, CA is seeking a Speech QA Engineer to lead manual and exploratory QA for Android speech technologies including hotword, ASR, TTS, and translation across client surfaces such as Live Caption, Voice Access, Recorder, and Gboard voice typing.

You will own test planning, release and build verification, bug reporting and triage, and coordination between Speech engineering and client teams to ensure quality across devices, locales, and builds before dogfood and public

Qualifications

• 3+ years of manual/exploratory QA on Android.
• Comfortable with adb, logcat, bugreports, flashing/sideloading builds and APKs.
• Experience developing test cases and filing high-quality bugs.
• Able to judge audio/speech quality; clear English; i18n spot checks a plus.

Responsibilities

• Test planning for Android speech technologies (hotword, ASR, TTS, translate).
• Release and build verification across speech-owned APKs and client apps.
• Bug reporting with repro steps, versions, device, locale, and log artifacts.
• Coordinate triage between Speech engineering and client teams; track status.
