Job summary

Encompass Health seeks a Senior Speech Language Pathologist to guide patients through speech and communication challenges within a patient-centered rehabilitation setting. Lead our team with expertise, delivering compassionate, personalized care and supporting patients during their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

  • Current licensure in Speech Therapy (state requirements).
  • ASHA CCC certification is required.
  • CPR certification or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
  • Bachelor's degree in speech therapy or management; master's/doctorate preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct care to patients and build rewarding patient relationships.
  • Assist with SLP in-service education and student program participation.
  • Mentor and train new colleagues and other departments as needed.
  • Supervise speech therapy assistants and technicians.
  • Celebrate patient victories along the way.

Embrace Your Role as a Senior Speech Language Pathologist
Your Impactful Journey Involves
  • Providing direct care to patients and building rewarding relationships by understanding each patient's physical, mental, and emotional needs to aid in their recovery.
  • Assisting with speech language in-service education and our speech language pathologist student program.
  • Mentoring and training new colleagues and other departments as needed.
  • Delegating and supervising speech therapy assistants and technicians.
  • Celebrating patient victories along the way.
Qualifications
  • Current licensure or certification required by state regulations.
  • Successful completion of SLP Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC).
  • CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
  • Bachelor's degree in speech therapy or management. Master's or Doctorate degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two years speech language pathology experience.
  • Active on Therapy Clinical Ladder (when eligible) or specialty professional certifications.
License Or Certification

Must be in possession of current state license in Speech Therapy.

Successful completion of SLP Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC), required.

BLS (CPR) required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire within this role.
