Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of West Valley is seeking a Senior Speech Language Pathologist to lead patient care and guide a collaborative team in a high-quality inpatient setting.

You will provide direct therapy, mentor colleagues, and contribute to education programs while benefiting from day-one comprehensive benefits and a supportive culture that values growth and impact.

Qualifications

• Current licensure or certification required by state regulations.
• Certification as SLP with CCC required.
• CPR certification required or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of two years of speech-language pathology experience.
• Active on Therapy Clinical Ladder or specialty certifications when eligible.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct speech-language pathology care and build patient relationships to aid recovery.
• Lead and mentor the SLP team and supervise assistants and technicians.
• Coordinate in-service education and student programs for ongoing staff development.
• Participate in departmental leadership to support and improve patient outcomes.

Embrace Your Role as a Senior Speech Language Pathologist

• Providing direct care to patients and building rewarding relationships by understanding each patient's physical, mental, and emotional needs to aid in their recovery.
• Assisting with speech language in-service education and our speech language pathologist student program.
• Mentoring and training new colleagues and other departments as needed.

• Active on Therapy Clinical Ladder (when eligible) or specialty professional certifications.

License or Certification:

• Must be in possession of current state license in Speech Therapy.
• Successful completion of SLP Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC), required.
• BLS (CPR) required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire within this role.
