Job Summary
The Speech-Language Pathologist, with an unrestricted Massachusetts license, evaluates and treats patients with speech, language, and swallowing disorders in an outpatient setting.
Our team serves patients with a variety of communication and swallowing issues at both inpatient and outpatient levels, including adult inpatient care, outpatient care for adults and pediatrics, and conducting adult VFSS and FEES studies.
We are seeking a Speech Pathologist to provide skilled speech-language and swallowing services to pediatric patients in outpatient care, working on alternating Saturday mornings (2-3 times/month) at Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital. Bilingual therapists are highly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
Experience working with pediatric outpatients, especially in expressive and receptive language and AAC devices, is highly valued. Bilingual skills are strongly encouraged.
Qualifications
Education: Master's Degree in Speech Therapy required. Experience can’t replace the degree.
Licenses: Massachusetts Speech-language Pathologist license, BLS certification, and preferred CCC-SLP from ASHA.
Experience: 1-2 years in outpatient pediatric speech pathology preferred.
Skills: Knowledge of diagnostic assessments, strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to perform independently, understanding of regulations.
