Job Overview

As a Therapist I, you will support Valley Health's mission by providing high-quality, best-practice services. You may work in various rehab settings, be part of an interdisciplinary team, respond to physician referrals, assess patient needs, and provide discipline-specific interventions to enhance safety and functional independence. Your feedback will be crucial in guiding patient care progression.

You are responsible for maintaining professional competence, identifying educational needs, and seeking ongoing learning opportunities. You will deliver rehabilitation services efficiently, adhering to licensure, documentation, and billing guidelines, and contribute to program development and process improvement initiatives.

Clinical Settings

Settings may include Acute (Orthopedics, Medical/Surgical, Pulmonary, Neurology, Cardiac ICU, Step Down, Trauma, NICU, CST), Inpatient Rehab, Outpatient (Orthopedics, Neurology, Pediatrics, Women's Health, Vestibular, Lymphedema, Aquatics, Vision, Wound Care).

Additional Responsibilities

Support departmental and organizational initiatives, stay current with communication, and maintain professionalism in all tasks.

Qualifications

• Post Graduate Certificate, Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech Therapy
• SLP License - Virginia/West Virginia or transitional license at hire
• BLS Certification (AHA Healthcare Provider)
• Basic computer skills and competency in patient interaction, including age-specific needs
