Job summary

The Speech Language Pathologist at CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi - Shoreline performs exams, tests, diagnoses and administers remedial treatments for speech, language and related disorders, and records test results with recommended home programs.

You will interpret physician prescriptions, maintain patient progress communications, supervise staff and students, and uphold privacy, safety and quality care in a busy acute care setting.

Part-time schedule with multiple shifts is available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited/approved school of Speech Language Pathology.

Responsibilities

• Examin es, tests, diagnoses and administers remedial treatments for speech and language disorders.
• Maintains active communication with the patient regarding progress, home programs and other issues related to the therapeutic process.
• Interprets physician prescriptions and collaborates with physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants in accordance with practice act guidelines.
