Job summary

Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital, Northwest Arkansas is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to join our inpatient rehabilitation team. Responsibilities include assessing speech, language, voice, and swallowing, and developing individualized treatment plans for patients in an acute care/rehabilitation setting.

Candidates must hold an SLP license with CCC-SLP, maintain CPR certification, and demonstrate strong communication and clinical judgment in a patient-focused environment.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
  • Background in acute care or rehabilitation settings preferred.
  • Active SLP license and CCC-SLP certification required.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Strong communication abilities and sound clinical judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Assess speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using evidence-based tools.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans.
  • Educate patients and families on therapy objectives and progress.
  • Document evaluations, treatments, and outcomes clearly.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient-centered care.
  • Contribute to additional clinical duties to support department operations.

How you'll contribute
  • Assess speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using evidence-based tools.

What we're looking for
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology.
  • Background in acute care or rehabilitation settings preferred.
  • Current SLP license and ASHA certification (CCC SLP).
  • Active CPR certification.
  • Strong communication abilities, excellent clinical judgment, and a patient focused mindset.
