Job summary

ChristianaCare, located in Newark, Delaware, is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for inpatient acute care. You will assess and treat adults with communication and swallowing disorders with a patient-family centered approach.

One weekend day per month and one holiday per year are required; CPR certification is expected, and CF candidates will be considered. This is a full-time position within a dynamic, interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology required.
• Licensure or eligibility for licensure in Delaware required.
• CCC or CF Certification required or eligible.
• CPR Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations.
• Develop and implement treatment programs with family-centered goals.
• Provide patient and family education and training.

ChristianaCare is recruiting for a full time Speech Language Pathologist to assess and treat adults with communication and swallowing disorders in an inpatient acute care setting. With an emphasis on patient-family centered care, we specialize in a variety of services with a dynamic interdisciplinary/trans-disciplinary team approach. One weekend day per month and one holiday per year required.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities :

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations


• Develop and implement appropriate treatment programs to include family specific goals and time frames


• Provide patient and family education and training

Education and experience requirements:

• Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology


• Licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of Delaware


• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) OR CF Certification


• CPR Certification


• Acute care experience preferred


• Strong CF candidate will be considered

Hourly Pay Range: $35.39 - $56.63

This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
