Job summary

ChristianaCare is recruiting for a full-time Speech Language Pathologist to assess and treat adults with communication and swallowing disorders in an inpatient acute care setting.

The team emphasizes patient-family centered care within a dynamic interdisciplinary environment; one weekend day per month and one holiday per year are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology required.
• Licensure or eligibility for licensure in Delaware.
• CCC or CF Certification required or eligible.
• CPR certification is expected.
• Acute care experience preferred.
• Strong CF candidate will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations in the inpatient setting.
• Develop and implement treatment programs with family-centered goals and timelines.
• Provide patient and family education and training; collaborate with interdisciplinary team.

One weekend day per month and one holiday per year required.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations
• Develop and implement appropriate treatment programs to include family specific goals and time frames
• Provide patient and family education and training

Education and experience requirements:

• Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology
• Licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of Delaware
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) OR CF Certification
• CPR Certification
• Acute care experience preferred
• Strong CF candidate will be considered

Hourly Pay Range: $35.39 - $56.63This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
