Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Amarillo is hiring a Speech Pathologist to evaluate, develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with speech and language needs. You will monitor progress, adjust therapies as needed, and document outcomes in a fast-paced rehab setting.

The role emphasizes direct patient care within an inpatient rehabilitation environment, with opportunities for professional growth and access to cutting-edge technology.

Qualifications

• Current licensure or certification required by state regulations.
• Successful completion of SLP Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC).
• CPR certification required or within 30 days of hire.
• Master’s degree preferred or Bachelor’s degree with field experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, assess, develop and administer personalized speech-language treatment plans.
• Identify issues and modify speech therapy treatment as needed.
• Track and document patient progress and response to treatment.
• Celebrate patient victories along the way.

Education

CCC Certification

Master’s degree preferred

Bachelor’s degree with field experience
