Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Middletown is seeking a Speech Pathologist to evaluate, treat, and support patients with speech and language rehabilitation needs in a community hospital setting.

The role emphasizes developing personalized treatment plans, monitoring progress, and documenting outcomes while being part of a nationally recognized rehabilitation leader. A Master’s degree is preferred or a Bachelor’s with field experience, plus licensure and CCC certification.

Qualifications

• Current licensure or certification required by state regulations.
• CCC Certification (ASHA) required.
• CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Master’s degree preferred, or Bachelor's degree with field experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating, assessing, developing, and administering personalized treatment plans for patients with speech and language rehabilitation needs.
• Identifying issues and modifying speech therapy treatment if necessary.
• Tracking and documenting patient performance, progress, and response to treatment.
• Celebrating patient victories along the way.
