Job summary

Kaweah Health is seeking a Speech Pathologist to assess, treat, and help prevent disorders of speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing for patients of all ages at their Visalia area facilities.

Requires CA Speech Pathologist license and BLS; CCC from ASHA preferred. One year pediatric experience encouraged and Home Health may require CA driver’s license. Full-time, day shifts with competitive pay range.

Qualifications

• Current CA Speech Pathologist license.
• BLS certification.
• Preferred: Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) by ASHA.

Responsibilities

• Administers standard formal evaluations based on age and diagnosis.
• Completes documentation promptly with clear progress toward goals.
• Plans individual treatment programs following physician orders.
• Performs therapy procedures safely and effectively.
• Trains patients and families in care needs for daily activities.
• Maintains equipment and charges for services.
• Participates in ongoing education and departmental meetings.
