Job summary

Adventist Health Columbia Gorge in The Dalles, Oregon, is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide speech therapy services to patients with speech, language or swallowing disorders.

The role requires a Master’s Degree or foreign equivalent, state licensure as a Speech Pathologist, CPR/BLS certification, and a valid driver’s license. ASHA CCC is preferred. WA/OR SLP licensure is required for facility operations in the region.

Responsibilities

  • Assesses and documents speech therapy data related to patient assessments, patient care needs, interventions and outcomes.
  • Identifies changes and trends throughout physical and emotional parameters.
  • Reviews treatment plans and assesses individual performances to modify, change or write new programs.
  • Maintains documentation as required by law, establishment policy and administrative regulation.
  • Instructs patients on ways to monitor speech and practice new skills.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Education and Work Experience

  • Master's Degree or foreign equivalent: Required

Licenses/Certifications

  • Speech Pathologist licensure in the state of practice: Required
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
  • American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC): Preferred
  • Valid Driver's License (DL) and must be at least 21 years of age or older: Required

Facility Specific License/Certifications

  • AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS or AHA-CPR or ARC-CPR: Required
  • OR-SLP: Required
  • WA-SLP: Required
