Job summary

Indiana University Health in Avon, IN is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for a flat rate PRN position with rotating on-call shifts. Weekend availability is required about once a month.

You will perform diagnostic evaluations, design treatment plans to improve communication and swallowing, supervise support personnel, and participate in related patient-care activities.

Qualifications

  • Requires a Master’s Degree from an accredited program in speech pathology; or, if foreign trained, graduation from a speech pathology education program outside the US with educationally equivalent coursework accepted by Indiana PLA.
  • Requires current license in the State of Indiana.
  • Requires a Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA or eligibility; Basic Life Support through the AHA.
  • Advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department policies.

Shift: This position will be a Flat Rate PRN role; shift is rotating on an as needed basis. Weekend availability is needed approximately once every month.


Roles and Responsibilities:

Performs speech pathology services including diagnostic evaluations to determine level of impairment. After administering the appropriate tests and measures, a treatment plan is designed for improved communication and swallowing. Performs direct patient care services including the supervision of support personnel and students. Willingly participates in related activities in support of patient care, education and department operations.
