Job summary

Indiana University Health in Avon, IN is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for a flat rate PRN position with rotating on-call shifts. Weekend availability is required about once a month.

You will perform diagnostic evaluations, design treatment plans to improve communication and swallowing, supervise support personnel, and participate in related patient-care activities.

Qualifications

• Requires a Master’s Degree from an accredited program in speech pathology; or, if foreign trained, graduation from a speech pathology education program outside the US with educationally equivalent coursework accepted by Indiana PLA.
• Requires current license in the State of Indiana.
• Requires a Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA or eligibility; Basic Life Support through the AHA.
• Advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department policies.

• Performs speech pathology services including diagnostic evaluations to determine level of impairment and designs treatment plans.
• Performs direct patient care including supervision of support personnel and students.
• Participates in related activities in support of patient care, education and department operations.

After administering the appropriate tests and measures, a treatment plan is designed for improved communication and swallowing. Performs direct patient care services including the supervision of support personnel and students.
