Job summary

Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona, seeks a Speech Pathologist to join its rehab team. The position involves work across Med-Surg, Ortho, ED, ICU, and more, supporting high-quality patient care and discharge planning.

The role requires direct patient care with an interdisciplinary team in a state-of-the-art hospital setting. The position is 40 hours per week with 5 eight-hour shifts and rotating weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current licensure in the state of practice and CCC-SLP or CFY eligibility.
• BLS certification required.
• Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and healthcare providers.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients to determine intervention and develop plan of care.
• Implement individualized treatment plans aligned with patient needs and evidence.
• Educate patients and families; provide home programs with clear instructions.
• Document treatment and maintain patient care data per standards.
• Support training of other staff and students; collaborate with care teams.
