Job summary

Banner University Medical Center Phoenix is seeking a passionate speech language pathologist to join our team in a full-time role. The position supports screening, evaluation, and rehabilitation of patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, swallowing, and fluency disorders.

Work is Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4pm with occasional weekend shifts; you will contribute to a large, fast-paced unit in a nationally recognized trauma center and collaborate with physicians and staff to

Qualifications

Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited university program.
Current licensure in the state of practice.
CCC-SLP or documented acceptance in Clinical Fellowship Year.
BLS certification required.
Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare providers.
Strong interpersonal communications and human relation skills.

Responsibilities

Evaluates patients' functional abilities and determines appropriate intervention; develops a plan of care and treatment goals as ordered by physician or referral source.
Implements individualized treatment plans considering patients' needs; reevaluates plans to ensure maximum patient benefit.
Educates patients and families; provides home programs with clear instructions.
Documents patient treatment according to professional and regulatory standards.
Participates in training to other staff and students.
Follows plan of care and makes independent judgments; confers with supervisor on unusual situations.
