PERSONNEL VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Speech-Language Pathologist

Wythe County Public Schools

March 17, 2025

Performance Responsibilities:

• Implement screening procedures to identify speech/language impaired students in assigned school.
• Assess communication skills of students using diagnostic procedures and related information.
• Plan and implement procedures to change deficient communication skills.
• Direct speech/language articulation, voice, and fluency therapy.
• Collaborate with teachers and monitor students’ progress.
• Plan instructional programs.
• Conduct and participate in the evaluation study, eligibility, screening, etc.
• Prepare speech and language evaluation reports and related records.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Required Qualifications

• Hold a master’s degree in Speech/Language, Speech Pathology, or Communication Disorder
• Holds a current license in Speech Language Pathology or is eligible for licensure from the Virginia Board of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology

Salary

Based on a 200-day contract. Salary based on 2024-2025 Speech Pathologist salary.
