Job summary

Saint Luke's South Hospital is seeking a full-time Speech Pathologist to join our team. The role provides evaluation, diagnosis, and management of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and oral-pharyngeal impairments, developing individualized treatment plans and providing counseling to clients and families. The position involves 8 a.m.

to 4 p.m. weekdays, with some weekends required. The clinician will supervise students, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, document per policy,

Qualifications

• 2 years of applicable experience.
• BLS certification - American Heart Association or Red Cross, CCC-SLP/ASHA certification.
• Bachelor's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patients after impairment, injury, or disease.
• Creates individualized patient-centered treatment plans based on evidence-based practice.
• Re-evaluates and reassesses patient progress and contributes to discharge planning.
• Supervises students and assistants.
• Participates in interdisciplinary care and makes recommendations for client care.
• Delivers timely documentation to meet policies and external requirements.
• Ensures safety of patients and staff at all times.
• Performs other duties as requested by manager.
• Participates in quality initiatives.

Provides prevention, screening, evaluation, diagnosis, management and counseling services to clients with speech/ language, cognitive-communication and /or oral-pharyngeal sensorimotor impairments. Plans directs and conducts habilitative, rehabilitative and counseling programs to treat impairments involving verbal and written language.

• Full-time: Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Some weekends required.

• Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross, Cert Clinical Competence-Speech/Lang - American Speech Language Hearing Association, Speech Pathology - Various
