Job summary

Lakemary-Center,-Inc seeks a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to support our residential therapy team under supervision. You will help design activities, support individual or small-group sessions, and document progress for students receiving therapy.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED, is at least 18, and demonstrates reliability, honesty, and strong communication. Competitive benefits include health plans, PTO, and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Be at least 18+ years of age.
• Starting pay: $17.25/hour.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating activities for individual and/or group speech and language therapy sessions.
• Work with students individually or in small groups (no more than 3) per the treatment plans written by the Speech Language Pathologist.
• Lead group therapy sessions (reading a book, directions for activities).
• Documentation for those students in which you work with.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Works preferred.
• Ability to learn about an AAC device and provide instruction.
• Learn to use a Cricut to cut out materials for therapy sessions.
