Job summary

The Lakes Home Care in West Palm Beach, FL seeks a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to support licensed clinicians. You will assist with patient assessments, implement therapy activities, and document progress.

You will work across pediatric, adult, and geriatric cases, coordinate with an interdisciplinary team, and help develop treatment plans. A state license or certification is required.

Qualifications

• Licensed or certified SLP assistant in the state.
• Knowledge of speech and language disorders and therapies.

Responsibilities

• Assist Speech-Language Pathologists in conducting patient assessments and gathering information.
• Implement prescribed activities under guidance.
• Provide direct patient care and document progress.
• Support treatment plan development and modification.
• Instruct patients in exercises to improve communication.
• Collaborate on augmentative and alternative communication strategies.
• Communicate with patients, families, and team members.
• Maintain timely documentation of interactions and progress.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss plans.
