Job summary

Avant Rehabilitation & Care Center in Trenton, NJ is seeking a Speech Therapist (SLP) to diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders. You will develop customized therapy plans and educate residents and families, while maintaining detailed patient records and progress notes.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in speech-language pathology and a valid New Jersey license, with the ability to work on-site in Trenton.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in speech-language pathology.
• Valid state license or certification in New Jersey.
• Strong understanding of speech-related conditions, causes, and treatments.
• Must be able to work in Trenton, NJ.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing, treating, and preventing speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Creating treatment and therapy plans to suit individualized resident needs.
• Performing screenings to detect voice or speech disorders.
• Educating residents and family members about speech disorders and causes, including disabilities and traumatic events.
• Keeping detailed records relating to patient conditions, care plans, therapies, and progress.
• Reporting progress and current status to appropriate parties, which may include family members or medical professionals.
