Job summary

Be Heard Speech Therapy in Long Beach, CA is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to join our new clinic. The role is in-office with hours Monday-Friday 2pm-8pm and Saturday 8am-3pm; candidate may select partial days, minimum 8 hours weekly.

You will provide in-clinic speech therapy under the supervision of an SLP, assist with assessments, document progress, and help prepare treatment materials. California SLP-A registration is required.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid CA SLP-A registration.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience with speech-language disabilities.
• Experience in a clinic setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-clinic speech therapy to clients.
• Assist SLP with assessments and documentation.
• Follow treatment plans and report progress to supervising SLP.
• Prepare materials and perform clerical duties for supervising SLP.
• Coordinate care and support as part of the therapy team.

Location:

Long Beach, CA, in office

Schedule:

Looking for therapists to start in our new Long Beach clinic! In-clinic hours available:

-Monday-Friday 2pm-8pm

-Saturdays 8am-3pm

Candidate can choose to work any partial days/times within the above hours, minimum of 8 hours per week.

Saturday availability is a plus!

Compensation:

$40-45/hr, depending on experience

Responsibilities:

• Provide speech therapy to clients in-clinic
• Provide direct treatment assistance to identify clients under the supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist
• Follow and implement documented treatment plans developed by a supervising SLP
• Document client progress toward meeting established objectives, and report the information to a supervising Speech-Language Pathologist
• Assist an SLP during assessment, assisting with formal documentation, preparing materials, and performing clerical duties for a supervising Speech-Language Pathologist

Requirements:

• Possession of valid registration as a Speech/Language Pathology Assistant with the California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board
• One year experience working with individuals with speech and language disabilities in a structured environment, preferably in the clinic setting
