Job summary

SPG Therapy & Education is seeking a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in Concord, CA for school-based services. The position offers supervision, mentoring, and a pathway for professional growth within a clinician-led team dedicated to helping kids and their families.

The role involves assisting with schedules, equipment checks, and materials for therapy activities, while delivering services under supervision of a licensed SLP. Parental and educator collaboration is emphasized.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from a SLPA program or a Bachelor's in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Completion of required field work experience.
• Current CA SLPA license or eligibility.
• Fingerprint background clearance.
• TB clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating service delivery schedules.
• Perform checks and maintenance of equipment, including augmentative communication devices.
• Provide clerical support (charts, records, graphs, data).
• Prepare materials for speech therapy activities as planned by supervising SLP.
• Conduct speech-language screenings using protocols developed by SLP supervisor.
• Follow documented treatment plans or protocols developed by a supervising SLP.
• Provide delivery of speech-language services under supervision of a licensed SLP.
• Document client progress toward objectives/goals.
• Pursue professional growth through conferences, workshops, and coursework.
