Job summary

Moffat County School District is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to support certified SLPs in delivering speech therapy services to students across the district. This role provides paraprofessional support, testing, and IEP development under supervision, with emphasis on upholding ASHA guidelines for SLPA use.

The SLPA position requires a Bachelor's degree and a Colorado Special Service Provider License endorsed for Speech Language Pathology Assistant, with salary

Qualifications

• Minimum requirement – Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four year college or university.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the certified SLP, support the provision of Speech Therapy services to students under IEP guidelines.
• Assist determining need for screening/assessment and administer appropriate tests.
• Assist other staff and parents in developing IEPs.
• Maintain paperwork regarding students with IEPs, including diagnostic reports and measurable goals and objectives.
• Consult with teachers and parents to remediate students' needs as required.
• Create a positive, engaging learning environment to improve students' communication skills.
