Qualifications

• Six months of experience working with individuals with speech and language disabilities.
• Possession of an SLPA license issued by the California board.
• CPR and First Aid certification (may be acquired during probation).
• Valid California Driver's license and insurability by the district.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing student speech therapy services per IEP goals and plans.
• Assist in assessment of student speech and language skills.
• Document student progress toward IEP goals and maintain records.
• Consult with educators on speech/hearing topics and strategies.
• Prepare therapy materials and adapt equipment for classroom use.
• Observe and manage student behavior per approved procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality and support case management activities.
• Assist in Speech Language Pathologist during assessments.
