We are seeking a passionate and experienced Consulting Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our dynamic healthcare team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated individual who has a keen interest in utilizing their expertise to make a significant impact in the healthcare industry. In this role, you will be responsible for providing consultations and therapeutic interventions to patients with speech, language, voice, swallowing and cognitive-communication disorders. You will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team, working alongside other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and personalized care to our patients.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech, language, voice, swallowing and cognitive-communication disorders.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Provide direct therapy services to patients, using evidence-based techniques and strategies.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to patient care.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers about communication disorders and treatment strategies, empowering them to actively participate in the therapeutic process.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, progress reports, and discharge summaries.
  • Conduct research to stay current with the latest developments in the field of speech-language pathology and integrate new knowledge into clinical practice.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior speech-language pathologists and students.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the delivery of speech-language pathology services.

Qualifications

  • A Master's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid SLP license.
  • A minimum of 1 years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong clinical skills in the assessment and treatment of speech, language, voice, swallowing and cognitive-communication disorders.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, families, and team members.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in the use of electronic health records and other healthcare technology.
  • A commitment to lifelong learning and professional development.
  • A passion for improving the lives of individuals with communication disorders.
